covet in your sublime presence
pulled in and held on by merely a glance
succumb to your scent lingering nearby
a touch entails genuine affection
as subliminal as one is during a lightning storm,
there is the danger of annihilation before its presence

dried, withered
soft rain suffuses warm colors to
that dismal soul, enlighten that waning spirit

if only caring arms embrace this decadent soul, revive it,
relieve its loneliness,
release its mundane existence.

where does one root oneself amidst the chaos
of human’s indifference
daily incongruous associatons is like being pelleted
by dirt against one’s fortress .
i find it difficult to escape this atmosphere of tainted association
convictions yet not wavered, however, feel as if smoke
is blown in my direction and i cannot resist inhalation
burn-off bit by bit the clothe which I’ve sealed
against attacks.

Not Even Nostalgic

I biked down the old streets, an attempt to conjure past sentiments masked behind the swings, trees, alleys, and street lamps: the beacon bells of ice cream trucks , the shrill voices of children laughing. I was dishearten, the road to memory lane is impassable, buried beneath the procession of time as a fallen leaf mars and perish . Ironically, I still find solace in the midst of dissolution, like the erosion of canyons, the result will be beautiful.

Phantom Memories

life is laced with phantom memories sustained through reflection, passing like clouds treading above as i try to grasp its fleeting tail, ever morphing and ephemeral. I wished these moments could be secured in the back of my pocket on days like these.
